Read MoreThe Wandering Bee mural artwork by Colin Tea
Had a lot of fun painting this bee wandering through some wild fields. Someone came up to me while I was painting and said it reminded them of a psychedelic experience they had in the 60’s.
This is a timelapse showing the creation of the artwork.
Simulation Theory Mural Artwork
This is a mural I did the in June 2020 in Toronto, Canada. The mural was inspired by Edward Hopper’s painting “Western Motel”. The mural is also inspired by Simulation Theory and Surrealism.
This was a timelapse I filmed of painting the mural. The camera actually died just before I finished but I think it still turned out pretty well.
Quarantine
These are some paintings from around the house done during quarantine. Actually enjoying the quarantine quite a bit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Acrylic Paintings from recent roadtrips
These are some paintings from a few recent roadtrips. Definitely not regretting getting my license a year or two ago.
Watercolour from Tinos Greece
These are some watercolors I did over a few days in Tinos Greece. Tinos was a couple hours ferry ride from Athens. Lots of surfers and hippies out on this island living the van life in Volkwagen Westfalias and that type of thing.
Legends of Queen West sketched
These are some sketches I did of “Legends of Queen West”.
The first sketch is of Igor Kenk. Igor Kent was a notorious bike thief with a shop on Queen street west until he was arrested with several thousand stolen bikes stashed across the city. The second sketch is of Handsome Ned playing quitar at the Cameron House.
Strange Petroglyphs in the Don Valley
Biking in the Don Valley today and noticed these cool petroglyphs painted on the rocks. Hmm….
New Mural at Simcoe and Queen's Quay
Painted a new bell box at Simcoe and Queen’s Quay. This was part of the outside the box campaign with the city of Toronto. Good time!
Recharging and old mural :)
Touching up and older mural of this golden lab from a few years ago. This mural is located in Toronto in the Annex neighbourhood.
Sketches from Arizona
Spent the last week driving around Arizona and Southern Utah. Was particularly interested to see the planes stored in the desert around Mesa Arizona called the Davis-Monthan yard. These are some sketches from the trip.
Dufferin Grove Alley Mural
These are some progress photos from a mural I painted over the weekend near Dufferin Grove in Toronto. It is a mural based off an older painting I had done of the Croft Street laneway near where I went to school. I also learned about a secret lawn bowling club in the area which only has one member, very Field of Dreamsy.
Watercolours of France
These are some watercolors I painted during a week in France a few years ago.
